The UK ADLG year ends at Britcon, and this year the results of the Britcon competition itself made all the difference at the top of the leaderboard as Mike Bennett was crowned UK annual rankings champion, squeaking past Hubert Bretagne by a mere 5 points, 486 to 481! The full rankings feature 183 players, all of whom entered at least one of the 31 separate ADLG events which took place in the UK in the last 12 months.

The BHGS site now has all of the results we have been sent from the various umpires and tourney teams - so you can see where you and your clubmates ended up in your event
We posted loads of photos of the event on our Facebook Page throughout the weekend, and we've now also consolidated them all onto a single page on our website too so you may be able to find a few shots of your own army on there - or maybe yourself picking up a trophy - if you look carefully! Looking at the various forums and facebook pages for the gaming systems which were represented it appears that pretty much everyone enjoyed the weekend, both gamers and traders, which is fantastic. Even the Mancunian drizzle wasn't too bad - and let's face it, if the long spell of hot weather hadn't broken just before Britcon it would have been a lot worse .. Next up for the BHGS is the Ancients Doubles on the weekend of 22/23 September, with events for L'Art de la Guerre, FoGAM, Mortem & Gloriam and DBMM at Battlefield Hobbies in Daventry. Next year Roll Call will return to Cranfield over the weekend of 27th & 28th April (we should have the website set up to take bookings in the next few weeks) and also The BHGS Challenge will again be back at UK Games Expo at the NEC on the weekend of 31st May-2nd June. We are sorry to have to relay some terribly sad news in that Bob Whitehouse, who many of you will no doubt know and remember, has lost his hardest battle in the fight against cancer.
