Britcon '22, in our new home in the centre of Nottingham is now so close you can almost taste its paintwater (is that a thing?) - and we're delighted to be able to report that the entire event is absolutely flying, in terms of both players and traders who have signed up already too!
As of today we have;
- Over 300 gamers taking part ths year - beating our recent record by well over 100!
- That turnout includes 80 who will make up the first ever, and now sold-out, TFL Lard Workshop Games Day.
- More than 30 traders and demo games confirmed for the Britcon Trade Show
- Onsite accomodation has also just sold out, meaning almost 120 of you will be staying in Uni accommodation within staggering distance of our venue.
- We have announced a new partnership with Forged in Battle, who will be both sponsoring the Britcon Trade Show and providing prize support for all of the 15mm Ancients historical periods as well
- The Bring & Buy has been confirmed, with The Nottingham Board and Wargames Club providing facilities that will allow you to pay - and be paid out - electronically as well as in cash for the first time ever too.
To achive this we need to ensure as many gamers as possible from the wider Nottingham area get to hear about the Britcon Trade Show - and then come along and enjoy a wargaming day (or two) out in the very heart of the Lead Belt.
So, we'd be really grateful if you too were able to lend a hand by helping promote the show as well.
With that in mind;
- If you have a website, run a forum or Facebook group, or have an active Twitter account or other online presence and would like to help us promote the Britcon Trade Show we have developed a whole panoply of banners in all shapes and sizes - all of which you can now download from our website and use whenever and wherever you can.
- If you've got gaming mates in and around the Nottingham area, why not drop them a line to let them know about Britcon this August, that there is a FREE Trade Show they can visit at the same time, and maybe even suggest meeting up there for a pint in our Student-Priced Onsite Local Real Ale Bar?
Of course we also still have plenty of space in our new venue for many more gamers, so if you and your gaming buddies haven't signed up as yet please feel free check out what events are happening on the Britcon pages on our website too!
We hope you can be a part of this year's Britcon gaming community, and we look forward to seeing you at the show in a few weeks time.
