Britcon - Venue & Directions

DIRECTIONS
Britcon is now held at The Venue@DMU, in Leicester, the very heart of the East Midlands Wherever your starting point, you will find travel to Leicester is quick and easy.
By Car
M1 and A1: The Venue@DMU is within easy access for travel from the north and south. M69 and M6: Close by for those travelling from Birmingham, Wales and the South West. Park-and-ride services are also provided in the city.
Use the postcode LE2 7DP to be directed to the front of the venue. A number of Ddsabled parking spaces are available on a first-come, first-served basis - please contact the BHGS to reserve a place
We have also arranged with the venue to block-book one of their nearby car parks (within 5 minutes walk of the venue). This allows us to offer "all weekend" spaces for Britcon attendees which can be booked along with your gaming ticket.
By Train/Bus
Leicester Mainline Station is a 20 minute walk from The Venue@DMU, and is also connected by bus. High-speed train links connect Leicester to London and many other large towns and cities, while bus and coach services provide great value and reliable connections across Leicester and to most parts of the UK.
Leicester is about 2 hours on a direct line from St Pancras, the Eurostar terminus in London, making Britcon easily accessible from Europe by rail.
By Air
East Midlands Airport is the closest airport to Leicester and is just 28 miles outside the city. The Skylink bus service runs every half an hour to Long Eaton station from where you can catch a train into Leicester, or coaches also run regularly direct to Leicester City centre.

ACCOMMODATION
We are unable to offer accommodation with your ticket in 2025, but are working on adding this as an option for 2026.
The following hotels are ones we have been in touch with to flag up to them that Britcon delegates will be looking for accommodation this weekend. Some have agreed to offer discounted "Britcon" rates - although because of the vagaries of hotel pricing algorithms it is entirely possible that sites such as Expedia, Booking.com or even the hotels own website may at times offer better rates than any special "Britcon" deal, so please do check before comitting!
Any bookings you make will be between yourself and the hotel, and on their terms and conditions - the BHGS have no relationship with these venues (other than checking with them that they have availability over Britcon weekend, and in some cases getting a discount code for your use) and so we are unable to intervene to help you secure a refund if you find that you subsequently need to change your travel arrangements.
Local hotels we have heard back from so far include:
Other nearby options include:
Leicester City's King Power Stadium is pretty close to our venue, and with our slightly later dates in 2025 it is therefore possible that they will have a home game on Britcon Weekend as the 2025-26 Premier League season starts on the 16th August, with the Championship usually beginning a week earlier (looking at Leicester's league current form when writing this ..) .
Fixtures for both leagues are usually confirmed in mid June, so you may wish to secure accommodation before then as a home game is likely to impact pricing and availability.
