How does it all work then...?
Britcon is great for a Bring and Buy, mainly as if you are a player you will definitely be there to the end of the weekend giving maximum time for your stuff to be seen and sold.
You can also save time by filling in details of what you are bringing on the forms above
We reserve the right to refuse the display and sale of any item from the stand at our discretion; the Bring & Buy manager’s decision is final. Furthermore, we may refuse to deal with and/or eject any person who we think is abusing the good spirit of buying or selling at the show. The Bring and Buy is the only place that we allow items to be sold (other than trade stands) as this helps generate income to support the cost of running Britcon as well as supporting local wargaming groups; please respect this & help keep your cost of attending Britcon down.
The BHGS, and The Nottingham Board and Wargames Club will not and cannot be held responsible for loss, by theft, damage, mislaying or mis-recording of any item that you wish to sell at the stand. You do so at your own risk! We will of course do our best to guard your items, but we cannot guarantee their security. We cannot compensate you for lost, missing, misplaced or mis-recorded items. We accept no responsibility for any ambiguity by the seller on the booking form and our decision, on the interpretation of any such ambiguity, is final.
Please mark your asking price clearly on the items; it will help you sell them! Please keep your tickets safe, as they are your proof of ownership. Without them there is no reclaim of items or money!
Please list items for sale clearly & carefully, mark or secure any items that need to be kept together (for example a series of books or parts of an army) using the official form. You may know the difference between a Gronk from the Lower Pendulum Arena and a Nightbat from the Outer Reaches of planet Zarg… however, we might not!! So please, write & mark clearly & carefully to help us sell your item at the price you want!
At busy times, please bear with us when booking in or taking back items; we’re doing our best!
Please read these Terms & Conditions carefully!
Opening & Closing times for the Bring and Buy will be timed to allow you plenty of time to drop off and collect around your games, and will be open fro dropoff on Friday for most of the day. The Bring and Buy will finally CLOSE at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday; any items uncollected at this time will be taken to the prize giving & raffled off - no exceptions!
No item is secure without your vigilance and help, so help us to help you have a great show!
Thank you for your support.
