FoG Renaissance - BHGS Annual Championship Table Published

In what has become a long-established tradition, the post-Britcon final standings in the 2015-16 FoG:R BHGS Championship have now been published.

And, keeping with the theme of long-established traditions, yet again Alasdair Harley has just about squeaked over the line to win - stretching his unbeaten streak to a smidge longer than the 270-odd year period between 1410 and 1685 usually considered as constituting the "Renaissance" era by wargames rules writers.

The new season will open with the Derby round of the Northern League on September 4th

First ever BHGS L'Art de la Guerre Annual Champion Announced

Britcon saw the awarding of the first-ever UK L'Art de la Guerre rankings champion, with Peter Webb's big-points win at Britcon seeing him finish comfortably ahead of the chasing pack on 78 points.

Overall 95 players took part in L'Art de la Guerre events during the course of the past 12 months in a calendar which included a significant number of 25/28mm events - an unusual but positive development in what has been a traditionally 15mm-dominated UK Ancients competition scene.

Britcon is the year-end for a number of ranking systems, and over the next few days we hope to be posting the full-year results for FoGR and FoGAM as well.

Britcon 2016 - The Results!

After a long, sometimes sweaty but always entertaining weekend Britcon 2016 is now wrapped up for another year.

With over 170 players taking part, a bigger and busier trade show than we have seen in years, more demo games too, the introduction of three new rulesets to the Britcon roster (Art de la Guerre, Mortem et Gloriam and - amazingly - DBA all made their Britcon debuts) the final results are now in and available to peruse on our website*.

There are also a slew of photos, with plenty more on our Facebook Page too - you are free to post any of your own photos to this page as well.

Once again, many thanks to all our gamers, visitors, demo gamers and traders for making it such an enjoyable weekend.

We're now off for a well-earned rest before gearing up for the Doubles & Pairs events at Battlefield Hobbies later this year...

* OK, we only have the top 3 for WH40k at the moment, but we'll add the rest very soon...
