Roll Call - To The Strongest

Picture
"To the Strongest!" is a popular, fast-play set of ancient and medieval wargaming rules, and we are delighted to welcome it back to Roll Call this year, with the help of rules author Simon Miller (of Big Red Bat fame)

At Roll Call 2020, we will be running “Knight Fever”, a Medieval-themed event, similar to the competition we ran at the London GT in 2019.

Players may choose from any army that can be fielded after 600 CE, so that is any army in the Early, High or Late Medieval booklets, and some armies from other booklets such as Oriental, or Late Antiquity, that fall within the specified time period.  There are more than 90 lists to choose from.

Armies will be 28mm and 130 points. If you don't have a suitable army, we will, very likely, be able to lend you one

We will be using the v1.1a To the Strongest! rules, along with the additional rules in the latest version of the "Even Stronger" supplement. Battles will be fought on 6' x 4' tables on a 15cm 12 x 8 grid, with compulsory terrain placement in round one, and optional placement as described in the rulebook, thereafter.

We'll start taking army rosters from the beginning of March, and will need all the lists by the end of March.

Simon Miller will be umpiring and checking rosters.

9am start, timings TBC
