25mm ADLG
"The Greens & The Blues"
Long before the Ottoman conquest, Constantinople had endured a violent and dramatic history, rich with intrigue, sieges, and skullduggery in which any number of foreign powers inevitably sought to play their part, not only through military confrontation but also by channeling support to one or other of Constantinople's "Racing Factions", the Greens and the Blues.
These two groups, part political parties, part gangs of violent sports-inspired hooligans were the distant successors of two of the four great chariot racing factions of Ancient Rome.
In honor of the pivotal role these Racing Factions played in the history of Constantinople, and also with one eye towards giving 25mm players a different, yet also slightly broader range of armies to choose from at Warfare compared to the 15mm period, the 2023 25mm ADLG competition theme is:
"The Greens and the Blues"
Any army drawn from either the green or blue sections of the army lists, numbered 124-229 inclusive. Allies must also come from these sections of the lists.
