The Middle Earth SBG Mixed Doubles @ Britcon 2024
Greetings and salutations! We are so excited to invite you to the return of a much loved Doubles Extravaganza, a MIXED DOUBLES Event!
That’s right, you’ll be putting together an awesome doubles force, from either side of the alliance matrix! Let’s see the whackiest and “themiest” combos you can think of for this one-of-a-kind event!
Venue and Tickets:
This event is being run by the wonderful folks from 7th City Games, working with the BHGS to stage a MESBG event for the first time at Britcon 2024, one of the UK's biggest gathering of merry wargaming folk playing in a variety of events, all complimented by a student-priced BAR, and a 2-day expo featuring a huge swathe of Trade Stalls offering minis, terrain, paint materials and everything hobby related!
Britcon 2024 takes place in the heart of Nottingham, in the Newton Forum Atrium of the Nottingham City Campus. For those of you who will be travelling from outside the area, the BHGS have also laid on some "Student-room" Bed & Breakfast accommodation in Halls of Residence only steps away from the venue. You can book this along with your gaming ticket (although including Hobbits in your army unfortunately doesn't entitle you to a second breakfast!)
Tickets:
The tickets this year are bookable from the BHGS through the Britcon website as above, AND there are 2 different options available:
This makes the event perfect for solo players who are looking to team up, and experienced players who really want to get into the spirit of the weekend and let fate decide the alliance!
Tickets will be £100 per duo and £50 per individual, which includes a "Grab bag" lunch on both days, entry to the Britcon Trade Show, a £5 voucher to spend with any of our traders at the Britcon Trade Show, discounted parking vouchers for the City Centre Q-Park car park, and (of course) a chance to play in a really cool event on some fabulous terrain !
Payment must be made to secure your slot and spaces cannot be held without payment.
The capacity for the tournament will be 50 Teams.
Any Queries about the "gaming" side of the event, please drop us a message on the Facebook Event Page!
