War & Conquest at Britcon

Picture

Britcon 2022 will see our first ever War & Conquest competition, as we will be working with author Rob Broom to bring W&C gaming to the very centre of the UK's gaming community here in Nottingham !

We are still working on some of the final details with Rob, but the provisional format is as follows:

Tournament format:

25/28mm scale figures,

Table size - 8’ x 4’

Number of Games & duration -

Friday : No competition games are scheduled, however players are welcome to use the tables in the venue to arrange social gaming from mid afternoon until around 11pm
Saturday:     9.00am - 11.45, 12:45 - 15.30, 16:00-18:45 (3-game schedule for Saturday is provisional, and subject to consultation with players)
Sunday:     9:00am - 11:45, 12.45-15.30

Army Lists & Theme:
Open Theme, but where possible players will be matched against historical opponents. Depending upon engagement and feedback from the players attending, we may look to tighten this up into themes in advance of the event.

Army List Points Totals:
2000 and 2500 point army lists will be required - players will use 2500 points unless their opponent only had access to a 2000 point army.

Tournament specific rules & amendments:
Core rulebook, plus a forthcoming rules update that will be posted on the Scarab Miniatures War & Conquest website pages where all army lists can be found - rules update will also be circulated to all entrants
