Barons War @ Britcon 2026
The “De Montfort Challenge”
The Old Major in conjunction with The BHGS presents the inaugural “De Montfort Challenge” Barons War tournament.
The event will be a true celebration of the Barons War Rules and its Supplements and will feature both a singles and a doubles event, and will be fully supported by Footsore, who will also be present at the Britcon Trade Show with their show partners Sarissa Precision.
Tickets are priced at £30 for 1 day, £55 for both and include lunch on each day you are playing, together with a £5 voucher to spend with any of the traders attending the co-loactyed Britcon Trade Show. There are a maximum of 20 tickets for each day.

All tickets include a "grab bag" packed lunch on Saturday, a £5 voucher to spend with any of our traders at the Britcon Trade Show.

- Allowed Lists: Barons War 2nd Edition or the King John Source book. For Outremer forces a Bridging pdf is available to allow forces from it to be playable.
- Retinue Size : 850 Points
- Force building restrictions and guidelines available in the Event Pack (download link)
- Games: Saturday only, 3 games, each game around 2 hours
- Terrain: All terrain will be pre-set.
Sunday - Doubles Event
- Rules for doubles play are to be found in the King John Source-book pages 207 & 208
- You can enter with a nominated partner~ make it clear who that is with your list submission. If however you are unable to attend with a partner then we will attempt to pair you up with someone in a similar position

GENERAL ENTRY CONDITIONS
Admission to any BHGS tournament is at the sole discretion of the organisers and their decision on all matters is final. If any entrant breaches these rules, commits a criminal offence, causes disruption during the competition (including to public, traders or staff at the venue) or causes or threatens to cause damage to property at the venue the BHGS’s representative on the day will be entitled in his or her absolute discretion to require that player to leave the competition and the venue immediately, without any refund. In such cases we are likely also to refuse entry to future events
