Britcon Demo Games

Each year at Britcon we play host to a number of impressive demo games alongside the competitions and trade show. This year is no exception, and on the list so far we have a number of confirmed demos.

If you or your club would like to spend the weekend gaming on a huge (or small!) table and chatting to our visitors, please get in touch and we will do our best to accommodate you. As a demo player/club you can take advantage of our Student-priced accommodation offers and onsite student-priced bar as well!

Confirmed Demo Games so far:

"Rocket Six" 19th Century 'pickup' game demo

Simon Clarke will be running a preview of a new set of rules from the Rocket Six game system.  This is a 19th century ‘pick up’ system current in playtest.

The set uses the CCC dice and card system which MeG players will be familiar with, but is quite a wide departure from the MeG mechanisms.  It's hoped to be released in 2021, with 2020 as the testing/demo year.

Some more details if you need are on the CCC testing forum (which is public)

For Britcon the demos will focus on ACW and hopefully Colonial. The game is played on a 4x3 (15mm) or 6x4 (28mm) table, and there will be two 15mm games running side by side on Saturday and a single 28mm game on Sunday

Mailed Fist

Our regular local demo game team with another huge battlescape.
In 2019 they staged a huge 28mm TYW game , 2nd Breitnfeld  1642, using their own club rules on a huge table

Lance & Longbow Society

The Lance & Longbow Society will be putting on a medieval 28mm Demo/Participation game over both days
